Dave Matthews is still cool.
I went to the Dave Matthews Band concert in Camden, NJ last night. As I write this post, I'm listening to Howard Stern go on and on about how Dave Matthews is gay music and just the other day I was chatting with some friends who were making fun of me for a similar issue.
I really don't care. Dave Matthews rocks the house and if you don't think so, then that's fine, but you're missing out. So there.

If I only liked one or two songs, then I could see that it was a guilty pleasure, or something like that. Akin to my loving the Backstreet Boys classic "I want it that way".
But this is different. I love all of their albums and most of their songs. When I go to a concert, I realize I'm in a demographic minority (i.e. not a frat boy or 16 year old girl), but I guess I'm just resigned to the fact that most folks don't understand and I don't seem to be able to explain it.
