Can We All Agree Now That Kanye West Is Full Of Himself

There's not really much else to say. Making inappropriate statements about Dubya is one thing, but this is a whole 'nother thing.

Good look, Goldie.

(I was browsing this article in Barnes and Noble the other night, and) I remember a quote at the beginning of the article to the effect of "I'm working on a song now that's so dope, people are going to be like, 'Come on, Kanye, hold back now. This is ridiculous.'"

But, yeah, I agree - being humble is definitely not a pre-req for making music. Often the people we talk about most in pop culture are self-promoting and brash (Terrell Owens, Madonna, etc...)

It's offputting with Kanye because I don't think he's all that great a rapper.

TO is easily the best receiver in the game, and Madonna was maybe not the best singer, but certainly THE icon of pop culture from roughly '85 to '95.

If Kanye was all that, then it would be fine, but Kany e talking shit about being a rapper is like me talking shit about being a great Jewish Center player.

kanye does, for sure, have a big ego. but the thing is, he didn't shoot that cover by himself. i blame others more than i blame him. i almost feel like he's just along for the ride at times on the controversy/publicity machine. and i do think he's majorly talented and different. let's hope there weren't any grammy temper tantrums last night.
